Activation fails

The app uses the Google Play Licence Verification system to defend against piracy, and should under normal circumstances not prevent paying users from using the app. This system is a service provided by Google.

Below, we have listed the most common ways to resolve problems with the License verification system.

Google Play - User
When the app is installed, ensure that you're using the same Google account in Google Play, that you used when you purchased the app when starting the app. The app purchase is connected to that specific account, and may not work if you are not using the same account when the app is started.

Google Play - Sync

Ensure that your Google Play account data is synced. Sometimes the Google Play app needs to be re-synced for the license check to work properly. Old account data may not include information about your purchase, and if that is the case, it helps to refresh it from Google.

Assuming that your phone is connected to active internet (Wi-Fi or 3G/4G Internet connection), and then follow the below steps:

  1. Close down Ghost Radio entirely. The app has an Exit button on the Settings screen or use any other method for closing an Android app.
  2. Go to your phone Settings and tap on the Account / Account and Sync option (depending on which Android version you have installed on your device).
  3. Tap on the account that is connected with your device and Play Store.
  4. Enable the option Sync App Data if it isn’t enabled / or tap Sync Now in the top-right menu.
  5. Now start Ghost Radio again.
Google Play - Cache
Google stores local information on your device, to improve performance and offline usage. The cache may contain obsolete information, so ensure that the Google Play cache is fresh and does not contain invalid or old data.

Assuming that your phone is connected to active internet (Wi-Fi or 3G/4G Internet connection), and then follow the below steps:

  1. Uninstall Ghost Radio.
  2. In the Settings, go to Applications.
  3. Now go to Manage Applications.
  4. Locate the Google Play Store/ Download Manager app and select it.
  5. Now press Clear Data and then Clear Cache.
  6. Then install Ghost Radio from Google Play again, and start it.
Google Play License Verification
If none of the above methods does solve the problem, there may be something wrong with the Google Play Verification system. Most such problems are temporary and are solved within hours, so try again after some time.

But if the problem persists, it is probably time to contact the Google Play support:

Refund
We normally refund purchases if the problems persists. If you want a refund, we need the Google Play ordernumber, that was sent to you by email, when you purchased the app.
